NEW PIC TUTORIAL: Date Night Curls for Valentine’s Day ๐Ÿ’•

Hi friends!

Today was wash day for me, a major production, and I had to get my hair right , before going out with my hubby tonight. We are going to a paint and sip spot her in the Ville (Music City) and I’m pretty excited! It’s Couples Night and I want to look cute for my man. So I whipped out my Curlformers and styled after a much needed shampoo and deep condition.

Products used pictured below:

To Shampoo:

Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Shampoo

To Deep Conditon:

Shea Moisture SuperFruit Complex Hair Masque

To Style:

Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker

Cricket Wide Tooth Comb/ Denman Paddle Brush

Curlformers: Extra Long and Wide

Red by Kiss: Ceramic Tourmaline 1875 Salon Bonnet Dryer

Basically, I washed my hair while detangling with my wide tooth comb.

I deep conditioned with the Shea Moisture hair masque and sat under the hooded dryer with a conditioning cap x 25 minutes on moderate heat. Rinsed conditioner out of my hair.

I sectioned my hair in ponytails and twisted the large sections into Bantu knots to keep hair damp. Soak the excess water up with a tshirt.

I applied Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker to style my strands, section by section. I applied the Curlformers all over my head, one section at a time.

I sat under the hooded dryer for 45 min – 60 min and then took the Curlformers out.

Overall the whole process took me about 4 hours to 4 1/2 hours.

Spritz a light holding spray on the curls and you can separate them with a light coating of coconut oil on your fingers to reduce frizz. Then style as desired. I just twisted one side of my curls for a side-swept bang look.

Slay that face, now that the hair is laid, and you are ready for a hot date!

Recite this anthem #ISlay #SheSlay #WeSlay ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜‚ and you are good to go!

Oh and just a tidbit about my nail game! My nail tech did a bomb job giving me the heart on my ring finger look. Just another cute added touch.  ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’˜

She used the Hello Kitty OPI gel line, and one other color by OPI. Sorry I didn’t write them down. But below are a few pics. ๐Ÿ˜
